What's in a name? The answer is Our Whole
Family!
The ImPASTAble Dream became a reality in 1993 in Kennebunk, Maine.
That is where we first started out with a lot of help from family and
friends. At that time we had a maximum seating for only twenty-seven
people; and back then we also served lunch and offered a "take-out"
menu as well. The townspeople were so good to us that by the next summer
we were able to expand the seating to include al fresco dining on the
deck. It is hard to believe that Candy's three boys were only 9, 11,
and 13, at the time. They were often there with us, breaking in as dishwashers,
busboys, even hosting at times, and in the winter helped shovel snow!
From those early beginnings we've seen a lot of growth, additions and
changes. During that four-year span of time we shared many proud moments
together, especially the birth of our daughter Naomi in 1997. Then in
1998 we reached a new milestone with the relocation of the business
to our own building on Shore Road in Ogunquit. This current restaurant
seats sixty-seven, and thanks to the solid following of our long-time
faithful friends from Kennebunk, and our newer friends and travelers
to Ogunquit, we continue to serve our pasta specialties in the same
manner and tradition as from our first humble beginnings.
The ImPASTAble Dream was just that a fantasy dream! But, the
vision gave us the "eyesight" and ambition to start our own
restaurant. John is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America
and Candy comes from generations of family members who have handed down
a heritage and love for restaurants and the food service business.
We invite you to visit The ImPASTAble Dream you will most likely
find both of us there and even members of our whole family.
